"I have rarely seen such a young dancer with such a combination of lavish technical and physical gifts have such commitment to goals beyond the gratification of his own ego. Mr. Batista places his talents in the service of the art, the people he dances with, and his audiences. He is far more capable than would be expected from a dancer of his age and experience, and exemplifies the dedication to art as an expression of human potential which one expects from a mature professional."
- Mr. Lindsey Fischer, YOU DANCE Artistic Director & The National Ballet of Canada Principal Ballet Master
"Batista's posture is that of a refined man with unwavering discipline."
- Lifting the Curtain Story by Whitney Bryen for Territory OKC Magazine Issue no. 13
"Jonathan is not only an incredibly talented dancer, he is a wonderful person to work with. He is humble, gracious, and sets a great example of professionalism for the rest of the company."
- Robert Mills, Oklahoma City Ballet's Artistic Director
"Mr. Batista has fulfilled his responsibilities with us in an exemplary fashion. His performances of principal roles in our performances show great technical mastery, sensitivity as a partner, and the ability to engage an audience, even when that audience knows nothing about what ballet should be, and why it is that Mr. Batista is such a remarkable phenomenon on stage."
- Karen Kain, The National Ballet of Canada's Artistic Director
"He rose beyond a professional presentation, with his subtlety of expression and detailed musicality aided by his spirited interpretation of his character. He not only shined as a very accomplished dancer, but also as a partner with great sensitivity and strength. As artistic director of the Cincinnati Ballet I am happy to write this testimonial. Jonathan is a ballet dancer with extraordinary talent."
- Victoria Morgan, Cincinnati Ballet's Artistic Director
"I first watched Jonathan Batista dance onstage in Boston Ballet's production of Lady of the Camellias. Right away I noticed his wonderful, long, clean ballet lines. I was impressed with his precise technique, his energetic yet smooth movement quality and especially his ability to turn. In addition, I noticed Jonathan worked very well with others as a strong dance partner by executing and assisting with balances, turns and lifts. Jonathan stood out as an exceptional dancer."
- Johanna Wilt - Cincinnati Ballet's Artistic Associate
"Jonathan possesses an incredible talent that is given to only a few lucky individuals. His extraordinary physicality combined with his technical level and artistry make him a dream dancer for any artistic director and choreographer. His high level of skills in the ballet field makes him one of the top ballet dancers not only in America but in the world."
- Boyko Dossev, Ballet Master Faculty Member of University of Oklahoma
"In the highly competitive world of ballet, a dancer must have both the physical and psychological strength to be successful. In the 2 years that I have known Jonathan I have been able to assess him in these areas and he excels in both. His lean athletic build make him uniquely ideal for this art form which involves strenuous physical training. His ability to adapt to the diverse demands of today's dancers is excellent."
- Russell Kaiser, Boston Ballet's Assistant Artistic Director
